You Never Know...
I wanted to take a moment and thank those of you who have taken the time to read my blog.
I have been posting now (every week) for approximately 85 - 90 weeks. It isn't always easy to come up with a topic, but I know it really is never about the topic because the message underneath is always the same.
Obviously, I don't do this for income, as there isn't income that comes from it. I do it because I learn so much about myself in writing these blogs. I can't tell you how many times my mind has said "oh, don't bother anymore, nobody is reading it anyway", or "you are wasting your time, nobody is interested in really questioning things in this world."
What does occur to me in those moments where that negativity arises is that negativity knows nothing.
All the time and effort that is put into this blog isn't of concern. You never know who it may touch. It may be someone who comes to my website for the first time and their life is not the same from that point on. It may be someone who has continued to read my blogs and their life continues to change for the better. It may simply be that a seed has been planted.
You simply never know because it isn't about knowing who you touch. It's about doing what you love and putting it out there and allowing whatever is supposed to come from that, be what it is.
I think the whole idea of "you never know" is a great concept to remember because when we parent our children and don't let our minds get in the way of doing the right thing for them in the moment, you never know the result of that right action. And that's a good thing because there isn't a true reward that comes without risk.
So take the idea of you never know out into your day today.
You never know what giving a smile might do for another...
You never know what not insisting on having the last word might do for another...
You never know what lending a helping hand might do for another...
You never know what refusing to blame another might do for them, and this world...
You just never know...
And that's a good thing.
